We control the milk production chain from farm to shop
Valio Group controls the Valio product quality chain from farm to shop, and we know where the milk we use comes from.
We also carefully examine the composition and origin of auxiliary ingredients and additives used in the products.
Quality controlled at every stage of production
Our farms have the Valio Milk Quality Manual at their disposal and the dairy co-operatives have their own quality management system. Valio production is steered by an ISO 9001 certified quality system.
We maintain and develop a food safety system in accordance with the ISO 22000 standard.
Four production plants in Finland and one in Belgium hold a BRC certificate from the British Retail Consortium which provides following of detailed food safety requirements.
The key laboratory procedures are ISO 17025 accredited.
