The trend for natural products boosted the sales of organic products

Valio Luomu™ organic products offer an alternative for consumers who value natural, organically produced foods. Valio is an active developer and national player in the organic products market. Sales of Valio’s organic products continued to rise, most notably in the case of Valio Luomu™ organic milks which accounted for 70% of the portfolio’s sales.
Valio Laktoositon™ Luomu™ lactose free organic low fat milk drink in 1 litre packages, produced at Valio’s Jyväskylä dairy, is the first lactose free organic dairy product on the market.
Other organic products launched in 2010 were Valio Luomu™ Oltermanni® 17% cheese, Valio Luomu™ blueberry soup, Valio Luomu™ Auringon hedelmät juice, Valio Luomu™ Valiojogurtti® strawberry-vanilla flavour yoghurt in a 750 gram package, and Valiojogurtti® Luomu™ raspberry and marjakori (basket of berries) which is the only organic yoghurt available in Finland in cups. The new organic products supplemented Valio’s organic range which now comprises nearly 20 items.
