Valio research and development employs around 160 experts in different fields. Around one-third of the staff focuses on long-term strategic development projects that are expected to result in innovative products and technology applications. The remaining two-thirds works on the product development and different support operations. Process technology expertise is the cornerstone of Valio's competitiveness.
