Packages reused to advantage

Valio products are packed in disposable consumer packages whose recyclability and utilisation as energy are continuously improved.

Valio participates through Suomen NP-kierrätys Oy in recycling arrangements for beverage carton. Collection is handled by Paperinkeräys Oy.

Valio has for many years engaged in minimising the amount of material used in transport packages by developing multi-purpose package units and reusable transport packages. In the near future, the new returnable plastic boxes and trays will replace a large number of the corrugated board boxes currently used as wholesale packages.
