Valio is the most responsible company in Finland
Valio topped a poll of Finnish consumers as the country's most responsible company in a study commissioned by Finland's leading daily newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.
Respondents felt that a focus on personnel well-being and expertise, and attending to environmental issues, were the most significant factors related to corporate responsibility. Keeping jobs inside Finland, for example, was considered important.
Every second Finn thinks that corporate responsibility is significant or highly significant to the reputation of a company, and a little over one third believes it has a considerable impact on buying decisions. The study was conducted by leading international market research company TNS Gallup, charting Finns' opinions about corporate responsibility, and there were just over a thousand respondents.
