| A good education is a requirement for successful performance in our company. In addition, Valio supports the development and training of personnel throughout their career.

Management, personnel and a variety of experts plan Valio's training and coaching programmes in co-operation. The continuous development of employees at different stages of their career is supported by a systematic training model known as the Valio Academy.
The programmes are closely linked to strategic implementation and to well-being at work, and are based on real needs. A personal or team-specific learning plan is drawn up for Valio employees linked with development discussions.
Degree-based vocational adult education has been extended considerably in both dairy operations and for management personnel. Valio promotes awareness of the dairy professions by funding the MilkWorks project. The www.milkworks.fi website introduces the dairy professions and provides information about milk production.
Valio production plants offer learning-at-work placements and practical training for dairy technology students from the Häme Vocational Institute (HAMI) and HAMK University of Applied Sciences. Dairy technology teachers have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with dairy work in Valio's production plants. Valio has further participated in the work of the dairy industry degree committee.
