Valio functional dairy products are developed using strong scientific data subject to international publication; clinical data derived from the most rigorous of standards, including placebo-controlled double-blind studies where the effects are shown in at least two independent studies using the final product at the recommended daily dose.
While basic dairy products will always be important to Valio’s business, we are even stronger in value added items such as those with reduced or no lactose, reduced fat, and added vitamins. The future however lies firmly with LGG®, bioactive peptides and sitostanol. Functional dairy products can reduce the risk of common health problems such as those associated with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, osteoporosis and lactose intolerance, as well as constipation, IBS and other intestinal disorders.
