Valio�s starter production facilities at Tikkurila near Helsinki make special starters (e.g. for fermented milk, Emmental and LGG®) for Valio�s own plants and customers around the world. The starters are delivered as cultures, frozen concentrates or freeze-dried powders.
The starter production plant also makes T101 antibiotic test used to ensure that milk at Valio farms and dairies contains no antibiotic residues.
