Valio’s research criteria
The product undergoing research is compared to a placebo i.e. a similar product without the effective agent.
The test subjects are assigned randomly to either the study group or the control group (placebo group).
Neither the test subject nor the researchers know which product is taken by each test subject.
The effect has to be shown in at least two independent studies.
The effect has to be shown with the product’s recommended daily dose.
