Valio offers a large range of juices. Juices and nectars make up 44% of the market, fruit and berry drinks 53% and concentrates 3% (2005). Valio Gefilus juices are the market leader in functional juices in Finland, and the latest new items in the product family are Valio Gefilus cranberry juice and Valio Gefilus tropical fruits whey drink.
In summer 2006, Valio launched a new kind of light juice product. Valio light juices contain only 14 kcal/100 g which is around 65% less than juices generally do. Valio light juices are fresh and tasty, and are an excellent response to the growing trend for light products that promote well-being.
Berry soups
Valio Berry soups assortment includes soups with and without added sugar. 61% of the berry soups contain no added sugar at present. There are two Valio Gefilus berry soups which account for around 7% of berry soup sales.
The latest new product is Valio apricot-apple berry soup in a 250 g single-serving package.
