Valio Ltd Lapinlahti plant manufactures Valio Edam and Valio Emmental cheeses as well as milk and whey powders.

About 300 million kilos raw milk is delivered to the plant annually from 1,366 dairy farms in the Savo region within an average distance of 60 kilometres.
The Lapinlahti plant employs 287 people.
